Easter is the anniversary of the resurrection of Jesus Christ after the crucifixion. It is held on the first Sunday after March 21 or the full moon. It is a traditional festival in Western Christian countries.

复活节是纪念耶稣基督在十字架受刑死后复活的周年纪念日,在公历3月21日之后或满月后的第一个星期日举行，是西方基督教的国家的传统节日。

Easter is one of the most important Christian festivals. According to the Bible, Jesus, the son of God, was born in a manger. When he was 30 years old, he selected 12 students to start preaching. In the past three and a half years, he has been treating diseases, preaching, driving out ghosts, helping all kinds of people in need, and explaining the truth of the kingdom of heaven to others.

复活节是基督教最重要的一个节日。据圣经记载，上帝的儿子耶稣降生在马槽里，当他三十岁的时候，挑选十二个学生，开始传道工作。三年半中，他医病、传道、赶鬼，帮助各样有需要的人，将天国的道理说给人听。

Until God's time, Jesus Christ was betrayed by his disciple Judas, captured and interrogated, and crucified by Roman soldiers. Before he died, he predicted that he would rise again in three days.

easter is celebrated on the weekend after the first full moon that follows march 21. that means in some years it‘s in late march, and other years in april. the word easter comes from the old english name for the saxon1 goddess of dawn called eostre. she was worshipped(敬奉) in the spring. in canada, the easter season is also a time for celebrating the rebirth of nature. the long cold winter is beginning to melt into(融合) all canadians celebrate the return of the warm weather, there is another meaning to easter. christians rejoice2 because they believe that jesus christ rose from the dead on easter sunday three days after he was crucified(钉十字架上处死) on good friday. to celebrate the miracle3 of his resurrection(复活), they attend churches filled with candles and white lilies (百合花) on easter sunday. the lilies symbolize (象征) hope and rebirth. a lot of communities (社会) have easter parades (游行), some religious, others with brightly decorated floats(彩车), costumes4 and hats.
