江苏自考一年四次。四月、十月是国考公务员，所有专业都是有开考。一月、七月是增考，省考试院出卷，一部分专业有开考。如人力资源、汉语等。自考考试通过自学为主导，一个专业考试辅导在12—16门，本来就具有一定的难度系数。江苏自考一年4次自学考试，但1、7月开考课程内容都特别少，即使不顾及外在因素，学生每年高考都可以顺利完成，想申请大学毕业，更快是1.5年的时间。假如测试重考次数频繁，或者长期不报考，那对于大学毕业时间还会增加。

我是七O年代的，那时学的语言基础与如今教材里的有很大的变化了。所以当时考语言学概论的时候，那里面很多概念性的东西我很大程度上看不懂。于是买了配套的参考书，参考书基本上可以当成一本题库，死记硬背，就这样一次过的。

语言学概论的课程不是很难，它只是中国语言文学、汉语言文学、汉语国际教育等专业的基础课程。不过需要注意的是，此课程的理论性较强，不认真学习难以过关。
