1、认真审题
除了审题，还要看清楚文体，要明白写作文要求，有的考生只看一眼作文题目，也不管具体要求就开始写，结果因为不符合要求而跑题，所以考生一定要注意审题。
2、正确判断文章主题
关于审清重点，也就是“题眼”，是命题中关系到主题的关键词语，它是题目的核心，把握住了“题眼”，也就把握住了作文的重点。
3、论点和论据相符
有的考生喜欢写议论文，提出的论点也非常不错，但用来论证的论据却是风马牛不相及的，如果论据不足，那不如多看看成考资料中的作文范文，背诵一些典型素材。
4、把握好篇幅长短建议大家在开始写作时先写一个提纲，确定好文章的每个部分大约要写多少个字，先对篇幅有个整体的把握，至少整篇文章看起来是能很好的体现主题的。
成人高考作文写法策略如下：
策略一：书写工整。
判卷老师不会给一份阅读都很困难的作文打高分的。
策略二：开篇吸引眼球。

高考作文阅卷的问题不是标准问题，而是中学语文教师在作文教学过程中“求稳求保险”，造成学生作文不敢“出格”，文风普遍四平八稳，八股味浓厚。这就导致了高考作文要么文艺腔十足，要么忧国忧民，显出一种和考生年龄不相符的文风，虽然这种文章前些年被大量当做示范文，但近年来明显风头已变。
策略六：用最朴实的语句搭文章框架。
文章脉络必须清晰，主架构不想要太多修饰。别指望判卷老师有心情仔细揣摩大段拗口的“文学作品”。
1、字迹工整，卷面清楚。2、按照作文的命题写（或者是半命题），不要跑题。3、字数要达到要求，不要太少。
除了卷面上的要求之外，更要注意内容要有深度，结合社会现状，表诉自己的观点，结构要完整，确定要写作的文体，比如是记叙文就要写出它的六要素及包含些倒叙或插叙，等等记叙文的特点，要前后对应，最好有些伏笔，给读者别样的感觉，成人高考作文潜在要求更要注意自己的观点新颖。
