我老婆大学毕业后是在一家远程教育集团上班的，她的工作就是负责成人自考和成人函授的。我记得我的嫂子是大学肄业的，后来也是找我老婆报名了成人自考。因为成人自考学费比较便宜，那时候一年的费用大概2500，而已听说1年半左右，只要通过了自学课程就可以拿证，拿证时间还是比较快的。
但是后来她听说要每年集中考试2次，每次还需要通过自学的课程，跟大学考试标准一样。这样从开始学习到考试，难度太大了，考试通过肯定也很难。所以后来，她放弃了成人自考，转向函授本科。
函授本科就比较轻松了，基本就是参加了成人高考，被录取后交学费，就等着拿证书了。不过她从开始报名到拿证也要接近三年的时间，这个比成人自考的拿证时间多了一倍。而且，学费也贵了一倍，不过这种函授是有介绍费的。因为是我老婆介绍的，所以我老婆其实是拿到了嫂子交的学费的一半回扣。
总的来说呢，虽然成人自考是比函授的证书含金量高一点，但是高不过全日制的。所以，如果不是很有时间的话，尤其是有工作的朋友们，纯粹了为了提高学历给自己贴金，或者是为了应付报考工作之类的，不建议折腾自己去搞成人自考，函授提升学历也是完全OK的。
